Personal statement
I'm a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Energy Policy, University of 51cg, focused on understanding the economic, social, and policy dimensions of the energy transition toward net zero. My research interests span: • Energy system modelling and decarbonisation scenario analysis • Industrial decarbonisation, CCUS, and hard-to-abate sectors • Renewable energy integration and grid modernisation • Economic policy analysis of energy transitions • Fuel and transport poverty and energy equity I work at the intersection of engineering, economics, and policy, contributing to UK and European energy policy development. Currently engaged in the Energy Demand Research Centre (EDRC) and UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC) initiatives, focusing on equitable and sustainable energy transitions. My research informs policy discussions at Scottish and UK government levels, supporting evidence-based decision-making on energy security, net zero pathways, and just transitions. I'm interested in collaborating with researchers, policy makers, and industry partners working on energy decarbonisation challenges.
