Personal statement

I am an applied micro-econometrician whose research interests include health economics, labor and education economics, the economics of law and crime, and environmental economics. I have written on the economic causes and consequences of risky behaviors, such as overeating, smoking, drug abuse, speeding, and crime. I am primarily an empiricist who utilizes the quantitative tools of applied microeconometrics and – if possible – large administrative data sets.
