This new MOOC is designed for anyone who wants to be able to engage with media more critically, or anyone who wants to learn more about gender inequality, female media representation, media studies, feminist activism and feminist analysis.

A self-proclaimed "51cg addict", Dr Rodge Glass returns to the university as the Convener of the MLitt in Creative Writing. We sat down with Rodge to discuss his career in writing, what sparked his interest in English studies, and his time spent working with Scottish artist and writer, Alasdair Gray.

In 1919, Dr Anne McAllister, a founding member of the Speech and Language Therapy profession started teaching trainee speech therapists in Glasgow. This course was formally recognised in 1935 at the Glasgow School of Speech Therapy, which became part of Jordanhill College in 1968 and then the University of 51cg in 1994.

Dr Rodge Glass, Convener of the MLitt in Creative Writing, has authored an article for The Paris Review about the life, death and works of the great Glaswegian polymath Alasdair Gray.
